its been a while, and alot has happened. as it turns out, i didnt get accepted to a fine art course at uni. i was upset. but something great came from it. i am now a patisserie student at TAFE. i know its a bit different to what i was doing, but i have always loved baking, and i am enjoying it so far.

i have put alot of thought into this, even though people keep saying it was a strange change of subject, and that i jumped into it. but i want to join everything i learned in my visual art course, and everything i am going to be learning this year. i think i can be the best patissier, and make the most beautiful cakes.

my dream is to own my own cake business, a cafe/cake shop

wish me luck xx

So i stumbled upon this artist the other day, and i cant stop looking at her images, they are just so beautiful. and i thought i better share this with you...  Amy Sol, the style of her work is greatly influenced by a combination of manga, folk-art, vintage illustration and modern design, she is a self taught artist.

Check it out for yourself :)

Yay! have almost finished everything for assessment at Tafe.

So excited to get started on the mural for the primary school. We got to choose paint colours and saw the board which is to be painted, that was a bit overwhelming.

Also the Ron Rado exhibition, is on tomorrow night. If you get a chance you should head down to the drum theatre in Dandenong, by 6pm.

p.s Only 1 1/2 weeks left till assessment :o

Well the holidays were diffidently not the most productive one I've had. I managed to get all my uni applications sent away on time. But didn't do much else in the way of art making. I also wasn't able to submit a work into the Oak Hill gallery, so a bit annoyed about that.

Only three weeks left of TAFE, I'm looking forward to finishing but I also don't want it to finish at the same time :(

Might go and try to be creative xx

So a few weeks ago my class mates and were asked to submit a few ideas for a mural to be put up in a primary school. i entered 4 ideas, and crossed my fingers. Now i have found out that one of my drawings has been chosen, so exciting.
i cant wait to paint it, and hopefully get to see it up in the school :)
...
This was the first day of my two week holidays, and I'm feeling pretty bored already, hopefully going to get lots of artworks done over the break... and get my uni applications finished and sent off soon...

xx

Sooo... Im kind of freaking out a little bit, trying to get so much work done so that I can send in my applications to uni's. I need to decide which works are my best, and which ones will get me in, its a little worrying.

But in other news I have entered a piece of work into the Ron Rado exhibition, run by Chisholm. I am also intending to enter a piece of work into an exhibition at the Oak Hill gallery in Mornington during October. Will let you know how it all goes.

Wish me luck xx
